I didn't forget about my blog

The title. I just have nothing much to post anything lately. It was because most of the time I've been playing a lot on Steam. Hopefully soon, I would take some of that time for development elsewhere. With my purchase on RPG Maker VX Ace, I might make a decent and serious RPG in the near future. I will make a new page for that later.

In addition, I did mention a while back in YouTube that some of my videos will be deleted next year, which includes some old gameplay footage which hardly anyone bothers, other meaningless videos, and that teaser trailer I posted a while back (dunno why, but it felt out of place to me). If you do like my old videos, post a comment here or in my videos and I may not delete them.

Well I think that would be all to say for now. Have a nice day and Merry Christmas to all. :)

It's been forever, isn't it?

I haven't updated this for a long time, not because I've forgotten about it but I've been busy with other stuff at the moment and at the same time I'm trying out some new stuff.

I've updated the my O2Jam Notecharts list once more to include FREEDOM DiVE -Infinity- (o2ma3067) and Super Lovely (o2ma3070) and for now I will take a break from charting from the time being.

That being said, there's still my Pokémon Black & White to worry about but it wouldn't take long... I hope. Only time can tell for now.

I now have Steam on my computer and a new nickname is confirmed

LAST UPDATE: 12 July 2012

...Not literally steam, if that's what you're thinking.

Anyway, Steam a free program that allows access to hundreds of available games online (and of course some games themselves aren't free). The reason I didn't sign up for it until now is because I wanted to think about which online name I would use for it.

The name "PROGUY" was used by me since 2001, the time I started playing O2Jam when it came out. At that time, it was the only name that came out of my head to simply put, "I'm pro, nothing else". I figured it's time to give a change in this by switching to an alternate name that makes more sense than the last.

After sometime, it would come to this final name I've put up: ScorpiusG. Unlike the previous name, it represents me with a better meaning. The nickname is a joint of several things. I was born in the middle of November, which means Scorpio would be my Zodiac sign. The "G" came from the Japanese Monster Hunter series which meant "Generation". Put 'em together along with a few letter additions and changes and my new nickname appears.

However, to avoid duplicates, I may change my nickname to ScorpiusG59 instead. This secondary nickname's last part is based on the first fully keysounded chart I've ever made, G59. Remember this in case to prevent miscommunications with random strangers. Or better, just leave me a message here or in YouTube (private message would be nice :) ) to confirm my presence in a particular site.

Finally, I will keep my previous name PROGUY (or alternatively PROGUY101) to prevent nickname confusions to those who know me for a long time, especially in rhythm game communities such as FFR, osu!, and of course in the O2Jam community. That's all to say about it I guess.

Feel free to add me on Steam and guide me on how to use it properly lol (Either ScorpiusG or ScorpiusG59, as long as the description of the user account has PROGUY in it.)

Edit: Okay, I got the browsing games, buying 'em and downloading part (now downloading Team Fortress 2). But there's more than just that, right?

Edit sequel: Alright, I just found out that my display name in Steam is different from the username I used to login. I removed the now unnecessary sentence in italics.

Edit sequel's sequel: Here's the URL to my account.

The Shock of My Life

WARNING: IF YOU REALLY HATE HORROR MOVIES OR GAMES, OR YOU'RE PRONE TO HEART ATTACKS, DO NOT READ THIS POST. Well, maybe reading it is fine but don't dare go to Google for it. Please continue.

I've never been so incredibly terrified by anything since childhood until last night (Midnight, 31st May 2012). That night, I was randomly looking around a certain forum section and found a certain post regarding the scariest games people have encountered or played so far (Now that I think about it, why the hell did I go there at night lol). After posting my own thought, I've read through the topic page-by-page to see the others' opinion on their own decisions on what's scary (Some were joking of course.).

There is one specific reply that introduced me to a Japanese freeware called "Irusu Syndrome" (DON'T SEARCH IT ANYWHERE JUST YET. Read this message first for your sanity.). This game involves a bunny girl named Irusu Kyouko. Don't judge the book by it's cover, literally. She actually has a mental instability that will kill her friends if she's angry because of her incredibly gory past. To temporary calm her down, you must click "Start" (the first option in the title screen) and play the puzzle game.

As far as I know (I haven't played the game yet, I only read about it through several sites.) you must clear the present blocks in the screen by activating the "inactive" ones that drop down slowly from the top of the screen. The activated blocks must then touch the present blocks of equal color at the bottom to make them disappear and have you earn points and fills a little to your health gauge. You have to think quick though because the health gauge decreases gradually. It also decreases if the activated blocks hit and match the present blocks of the wrong color (usually the cause of losing). Once the game ends (health is depleted entirely) the music changes (to a short sadistic one) and the character behind (Kyouko) will become completely visible to the screen. The way Kyouko will be shown depends on the situation. If you lose multiple times, you will see her cry. After you reach a score of 40,000, it will show her "instable" pics (even her transparent image in the BG during gameplay still creepy as hell). Also while you're still under 40,000, you can instantly and temporarily see it too just by pressing Alt + Tab or making your game window inactive. DON'T DO IT.

There are also like a few endings to see here in this game. The first is by having to lose six times consecutively while those scores are under 20,000. While doing so, notice that the photo.png in the directory changes as well as you do so, depending on how the story goes (this is restored after a single 40,000-score game or after you've seen the ending). The first ending shows that each of the three friends of Kyouko goes missing after every two game losses with a score under 20,000, along with a news broadcast to top it up. At this point, your photo.png is completely scribbled off. Restart the game to restore it back to normal.

The second ending can be seen when you score = or > 20,000 and > 40,000. This one is way creepier, despite the fact that it's called a "Good Ending". In this one, you watch the scene behind one of Kyouko's friends, who is taking a look at the photos and notes that were on the ground in a cabin. While she is looking at them and wondering what was their purpose, Kyouko sneaks up behind her from LITERALLY OUTSIDE YOUR GAME WINDOW AND FROM THE LEFT-EDGE OF YOUR DESKTOP in her mentally-instable state and while holding a baseball bat with nails on it. After that, the scene ends with Kyouko hitting her friend with it while showing two creepy pics of her. Then the game closes itself. I'm not kidding, it really does that. However if you open the game again, you actually get to continue this ending's scenes instead of heading to the title screen. In this scene, all four characters involved in the game are friendly to each other. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" The end! (photo.png is restored at this point and you return to the title screen. The scene before that is probably a hoax, but no one actually knows what really happened.)

There's yet another ending after a score over 100,000, but you need to be a hardcore gamer to get that far. When you do, you will receive another image file that shows a drawing by one of Kyouko's friend (and it contains hardcore gore lol). This will add on to the story on what has happened in their pasts, although I won't go into detail about it.

Other easter eggs include having the BG in the title screen to instantly change if you wait for a while there without doing anything. The BG changes to the text recorded in Kyouko's diary, but you can't read much since the title, the menu options, and the character portrait are in the way. There are also ASCII arts and probably messages in .txt files it gives out as you play further into the game, helping you understand the story of this game.

Hmm, what else is there to mention? Well, nothing else except DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS GAME. If you dare do so, I recommend you to at least play it in day time or while you're with two or more friends. I also hope that you enjoyed reading all I've described about it above. The gameplay is very simple, but mess up and you're going into a world of mental pain. Also don't forget to try to get the English translation patch while you're at it.

If you like to see someone else play it instead, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRzVPZkGBdQ

Now if you excuse me, I have some GM business in AngelJam to do.

Well, it's been a while, hasn't it?

I'm posting here because it's to prove that this blog is still active, and I hope to keep it that way.
Anyway, pretty much the title says what I've updated for this time. I'll try to finish two or three charts by next month or two, depending on how free I am from uni life.

Yeah, I haven't posted anything here for a while

And now I'm able to. I guess it's to show how busy I currently am with life and everything. But anyway, I've added Psy-Kaliber 2097, Surface, and Shounen A to the notecharts list.

I should stop playing osu! often...

"Often" isn't the correct word to describe it. "Way too often" sounds ten times better.

Oh my sweet tablet.

Added two notecharts into the list

LAST EDIT: 20 January 2012

Qliphoth (o2ma3061) and Rainbow Dash Likes Girls (o2ma3062) are now in the My Notecharts page.

Next up in the work list are two chart requests. I'll get over with them as soon as possible.

Megaupload is gone. The end of the world is near.
